Around noon on an average school day, one might see children outside enjoying themselves on playground equipment. Yet in others schools, there could be a group of elementary children in their classrooms learning and studying to advance themselves. This is dependent on whichever elementary school decides opinion of the effects recess produces. Although recess in elementary schools may seem of concern to only a small group of parents or teachers, it in fact should concern anyone who cares about the future generations. In conclusion, although more and more schools have started to get rid of recess during the school day, recess in elementary schools benefit elementary students in physical standards, helps them in social manners, strengthens them in academic standards, encourages them in mental and emotional ways, and even helps improve safety standards in their lives.
